"These fragments I have shored against my ruins" The Waste Land, T.S Eliot

Join Stone Club and Sir John Soane’s Museum for an evening exploring fragments and ruins; stone circles, cists, abbeys, grave stones, gargoyles, and crumbling relics at Sir John Soane’s Museum London.

Through a series of fragmentary readings, that may or may not connect at the end, you will be taken on a journey through the spaces of the Museum. The Museum is at its most awe-inspiring after dark when the vast and eclectic collections are lit with candlelight and brought to life by expert guides. This will be an evening unlike any other, a transportation into unknown and ancient realms.

Fragments do not always make a whole, and we will explore this through readings, performances and films from performance artist and writer Jack Catling, poet Rebecca Tamás, screenwriter and performance artist Tony Grisoni, poet Rachael Allen, artist and writer (and Stone Club co-founder) Lally MacBeth, artist, musician and poet Matthew Shaw (and Stone Club co-founder), filmmaker Stanley Schtinter, filmmaker Ben Rivers, and artist and filmmaker Julian Hand.
