Celebrate Pride Month in style and join us at this joyous Soane Late exploring objects which have LGBTQ+ connections in Sir John Soane’s eclectic collection. The evening will be centred on the appearances and alter-egos people have adopted to express their identities, from Ancient Greece to Regency London.

The whole Museum, vividly lit in the Pride flag colours and with candlelight, will be open for you to explore, with complimentary cocktails on offer and drag performances, spotlight talks, and creative workshops throughout the evening.

Enjoy a delectable gin cocktail provided by MarGin Gin in the oh-so-elegant Library-Dining Room before roaming the collection after-hours. Spotlight talks will highlight fascinating objects from the collection which relate to queer lives. Revel in the glamour and fun of the gloriously-camp Chevelier De Neon, performed by Arkem and inspired by the Chevalier d'Éon, who challenged the gender norms of the Georgian period. We invite you to take inspiration from the Chevelier, other Regency figures who expressed themselves through dress, and Sir John Soane’s own Gothic alter-ego Padre Giovanni in a creative workshop exploring costume as self-expression.
