Join Helen Dorey, Deputy Director and Inspectress of Sir John Soane’s Museum, for an exclusive introduction to the newly restored Drawing Office, the oldest surviving example of an architectural drawing office of its kind.

Helen will outline the extensive restoration of this hidden space, perched on top of a colonnade looking over the Dome area of the Museum, and its contents. She will also describe the workings of the office. You will meet some of Soane’s apprentices and learn about their daily tasks.

You will have an opportunity to visit the Drawing Office both before and after the talk. Doors will open at 18.15. Please note that the capacity for the Drawing Office is strictly limited and you may have to wait. The ground floor of the Museum will also be open to explore.
