To mark LGBT+ History Month, Queer Qultural guru Ms Timberlina leads an irreverent after hours voyage of discovery around Sir John Soane’s Museum.

Starting with an informal inventory, you are invited to roam this curious collection by candlelight, encountering such figures as Sappho, Emperor Hadrian and the notorious William Beckford. Upon uncovering the Museum’s hidden histories and queer narratives, join Ms T in the Library-Dining Room for an impromptu illustrated discussion exploring the concept of queering spaces which, at first glance, may not be the most obvious candidate for such endeavours. The evening will close with a complimentary drink in the South Drawing Room.

This event has now sold out.

About the event

Doors will open at 18.30 for a self-guided visit around the Museum by candelight. The talk will take place in the Library-Dining Room from 19.15, followed by drinks in the South Drawing Room from 20.00.

Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event, after which point they are non-refundable or exchangeable.

We are in a Grade I listed, 19th-century building, so access is not always straightforward. If you require step-free access or extra assistance, please contact us in advance of your booking on admin@soane.org.uk or 020 7405 2107.
