Find out about the history of our kitchens and bake treats fit for a Regency banquet in this much-loved workshop for children!
Come for a tour of the museum, including a look at our recently restored kitchens. We’ll talk about cooking in the Regency period and take a look at some of the recipes which might have been enjoyed by Sir John Soane and his family, before making a cake and some biscuits from the period in the afternoon.
Everything will be provided for the baking, including aprons, but please bring a packed lunch. We’ll try some of the treats we bake in the afternoon, but there should still be some to take home. This workshop is most suited for children and young people aged 7 to 12 . Please do get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
