Design and make your own ceramics in this creative, hands-on workshop.
In the morning, you will be making your own clay plates, before touring the Museum to find inspiration for designs from the amazing collection at Sir John Soane’s Museum. In the afternoon, you will be able to use this to paint your own plates and other ceramics.
Children can be dropped off at the Museum for the duration of this event, which will be facilitated by a skilled artist, Museum educator and former teacher. Please bring a packed lunch along with you and clothes suitable for clay and painting work. Aprons will be provided.
We are running family drop-ins and workshops for children throughout August. We’d love to see you there! View all our family events >
If you wish to visit the Museum as well as the workshop you will need to book a free timed ticket. Book now >
