Discover the fascinating history of the sculpture gallery at Lansdowne House, one of the lost treasures of the Regency period.

The sculpture collection at Lansdowne House in the mid-18th century was one of the greatest ever assembled in Britain, but the gallery commissioned to house it had a troubled history. Curated by Dr Elizabeth Angelicoussis, the leading expert on the Lansdowne Gallery, this temporary exhibition brings together an array of original drawings from the Soane Museum collection, alongside copies of important works from other institutions and offers an unprecedented opportunity to delve into the complex history of this little-known architectural story.

Lansdowne Legacy: The Development of the Lansdowne Gallery runs from 20 October to 12 November 2016. Admission is free.
