Artist Anna Kompaniets invites you to a festive half-day workshop inspired by the current exhibition Pablo Bronstein: Hell in its Heyday. Create a winter accessory - a beret or fingerless gloves – that you might want to spend your afterlife in, using colours and textures inspired by the exhibition. Taking Bronstein’s glitzy, maximalist aesthetic as your starting point, go as mad as you like with extravagant beading and appliqué to create a work of wearable art, that will be the perfect cosy treat for yourself or a loved one this Christmas.

The session will begin with an exclusive tour of Pablo Bronstein: Hell in its Heyday. Back in the Art Room, Anna will introduce her practice in which she uses traditional craft techniques to create one-off pieces using sustainable, found and recycled materials. Anna will demonstrate different decorative techniques and provide individual support and guidance to help you realise your creative vision - all levels of experience and ability are welcome. Whether hoping to learn some new skills or simply to make a truly unique Christmas gift, this fun and intimate festive workshop is for you.

All materials are provided, but do bring in anything from home that you’d like to incorporate into your work, perhaps some broken jewellery.  Christmassy refreshments will be served. Beginners welcome.
