Calling all budding architects! Learn the art of architectural drawing with Sir John Soane's Museum.
Our architectural drawing course is perfect for 15 to 18 year olds who have a background in art and design and are interested in going on to study architecture or a related subject in Higher Education. Led by expert architect Benedict O'Looney (M.Arch RIBA), you will master a range of drawing skills over six sessions (one a month) and will visit some of London’s most architecturally fascinating buildings to hone your craft.
By the end of the course you will have:
Used a variety of scales and media
Discovered how different techniques require different approaches
Worked from townscapes and panoramic views
Expanded their knowledge of drawing materials
Learnt the techniques of architectural detailing
Gained a fascinating insight into the development of London’s built environment
Each session runs from 11:00 to 15:30. Session dates:

Benedict O'Looney is an expert architect, draftsman and architecture lecturer, and runs a practice that worked on the regeneration of Peckham Town centre. He has previously worked for two of the UK’s most renowned architects - Nicholas Grimshaw and Will Alsop. He is also a former president of the London Sketch Club, and is the chair of Southwark Conservation Areas Advisory group.
