<span>Inspired by the Monk's Parlour in the crypt area of the Sir John Soane Museum.  It was with mixed feelings that Soane watched a rising public fashion for the Gothic style.  He designed this playfully sombre space, the Monk's Parlour to satirise this style.  </span>
