Sold exclusively by the Soane, the design of this scarf is based on a painting Soane acquired by Clara Maria Pope which Soane purchased for the sum of £35 in 1835 after it was exhibited at the Royal Academy. Soane venerated Shakespeare and paid homage to him, by constructing a ‘Shakespeare Recess’ in his house in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, soon to re-open as part of the completion of phase one of the  Opening Up The Soane project. This picture shows a bust of Shakespeare surrounded by all the flowers mentioned in his works.

It’s made in the UK from pure silk and is hand finished.
