Re-Hang of the Staircase Recess


The arrangement of paintings in a large recess on the west side of the main staircase just above the entrance to the drawing rooms (between 1st and 2nd floors) has been re-hung in its original arrangement.  Today’s visitors are the first to see Soane’s arrangement
