Open House London 2011

As part of this year's Open House London weekend, No.14 Lincoln's Inn Fields will be open to the public on Saturday 17 September 10am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm). Please note No 14. and the Museum will be closed on Sunday 18 September. This is a rare opportuinity to see a Soane town house. Unlike No's 12 and 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields No. 14 was built and designed by Sir John Soane with the intention that he would not live there. The interiors are unique survivals of Soane's architecture in London and display his subtle use of light and space. Completed in 1824 the house was restored in 2008 by Julian Harrap Architects who were the 2009 RIBA Award Winners for this project. A representative of Harraps will be on site to tell visiotrs about their work at No 14. Please note that there will be queues for entry and that some floors have restricted access.
