ESOL at the Soane

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) sessions can now be booked at Sir John Soane’s Museum.

ESOL tutors can bring their groups for a tour of the Museum followed by worksheet activities to consolidate learning. Tours can be adapted to all levels. Worksheets aimed at Entry 1 and 2 learners use Soane drawings and interiors to introduce vocabulary around buildings, furniture and prepositions. There is also a higher level reading comprehension based on Sir John Soane’s biography and new resources are being developed.

Feedback from recent ESOL visits:

“Our guide was the best because she explained everything clearly.”

“The best part of my visit was the information about Sir John Soane because it’s a part of history.”
