Monday 14 Sept[ember]. The Carpenters began to hoist the timbers of the Garret floor on the back part of the house.
The Masons set the 2d. row of stones above the landing on the level of the Drawing Room floor.

Work is continuing on the back of the house, with the flooring of the Garret (Attic) floor beginning. This floor is the modern Museum suite of offices.
