These two entries are separated in the diary by several sketches, one of which is reproduced here -

The first half of the entry refers to the weather yet again - Soane's warning to the workmen appears to still be having the desired effect, although Soane is quick to note that the rain was light!. This entry refers to the laying of the floorboards on the ground (parlour) floor, a job which took two days.
