Fictional Soane Schools Index

As one element of the writer-in-residence program, Sir John Soane's Museum Education Unit has run creative writing sessions with three Key Stage Two groups.

Each school group visited the museum, full classes breaking up into groups of about eight. We provided focus words for each child as a starting point for the piece of writing. About a week later, writer-in-residence Bernard Cohen and education officer Jane Monahan returned to the school to run a follow-up workshop. The students usually word-processed their pieces, and Bernard has done his best to preserve the images and feel of each piece in the transfer to the internet. As much as possible, the pieces are presented as they were sent in. All pieces received have been posted.
