Welcome to our D/deaf-led British Sign Language and Lipspeaking programme of events at Sir John Soane’s Museum.
Enjoy an exclusive talk for only 12 people then see the Museum by candlelight without the queue.

Events at the Museum are usually on the first Tuesday of every even month from 6.30 - 8.30pm
Each year we will look at 3 themes with 2 events per theme.
Each pair of events is either in BSL or with lipspeaking but the content and presenter are the same for each theme.
Events at the Museum are free.
Only 12 places per event – you must book in advance!

An Introduction to Sir John Soane

A lecture by Jennifer Little on the life and work of Sir John Soane, architect of the Bank of England and founder of the eponymous Museum.

In both sessions Jennifer Little will use Sign Supported English
Three Dimensions: Casts, Copies and Carvings at the Soane
Inspired by our upcoming exhibition Diverse Maniere: Piranesi, Fantasy and Excess, artist and tutor Ruby Sharp will explore the materials and techniques behind some of the diverse collection of objects in Sir John Soane’s Museum. The session will include both a lecture and practical activity working with plaster. (download leaflet)
