Medieval Antiquities

The most important pieces include: 

Stone elements from the 14th century House of Lords and Prince’s Chamber - the only known surviving parts of its structure. 

Wooden patera from the boss of the 13th century Painted Chamber at the Palace of Westminster: kept by Soane during alterations.  The Chamber was destroyed in the 1834 fire and this patera is a unique survival.
