EXCLUSIVE CANDLELIT EVENING AT SIR JOHN SOANE'S MUSEUM

Friday 14 May 2010

This event is now fully booked

The magical, mysterious and marvellously eccentric Sir John Soane's Museum will be opening its doors for an evening of exclusive tours on 14 May as part of the national 'Museums at Night' Weekend. With tours limited to just 20 people at a time, this unique opportunity to see the Museum by candlelight in such small groups is very special indeed.

The evening will start with a glass of bubbly in the Library Dining Room, followed by a talk by one of the Museum's curators in the Picture Room. Here, visitors will be able to view and find out more about treasures including, A Rake's Progress and An Election - the two series of famous Hogarth paintings. Guests will then be free to explore the Museum - an unrivalled opportunity to experience this architectural gem.
